Is this for the compressor or condenser fan?

fan 7.5ufd 370v compressor about 25-33ufd 370v.

The clicking is the thermal overload opening and closing. The cap is wired wrong.

you will have two capacitors. one for fan motor and one for compressor.

go on the internet or go to a dealer handling these units. should be able to download the info.

There is a valve inside of most compressors that when it fails (sticks) it either fails high or low. If you have the wrong size of fan it may have overheated. You can try de-energizing the unit, then lightly tapping the compressor in various places with a rubber mallet. I know it sounds goofy but it might save you a repair bill.

I hired someone to come out and look at it. A mouse had gotten in somehow and chewed wires. Also shorted out (sorta) the contactor. Fried mouse - no air conditioning.

basically it controls the ignition process, and monitors it, it has tob there for the furnace to work properly.

If it is a dual capacitor this is the connections.

Here is the standard connection of dual capacitor. Actually you can see the diagram on the unit but Im not familiar with the Intertherm model. What can I give to you is only the standard connection of dual capacitor.
