I have a 2008 Hyundai Getz. I started having problems with alarm in mid 2009, and had to have the battery replaced in Dec 2009 (dead cell) when the car was only 2 yrs and 3 months in use! My problem is that the immobiliser disarms the alarm, but I still have to use the key to open the doors and boot. Last week I took it to the Strydom Park branch who charged me R540 to replace the locking activator. I still cant open the doors with the immobilser!

Good luck
