I was wondering does the Alpine CDM-7874 have any code. I just bought a car with this system in it and it had a dead battery and the stereo is not working

There should be no code. If you can try to see if you can check to see if power is getting to the red and yellow wires on the back of the radio. If there is a reset switch, try pressing that. It should be a small depression about the size of a pencil tip on the face or a hole with a red switch behind the face on the subpanel.

How do I set the clock on my Alpine stereo, Model CDM 9801?

Hi there,

From Page 6 of the CDM-9801 manual from Alpine's site:

http://vault.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/OM%20CDM-9801.PDF

------------------------------------------------
1. In the Clock priority mode, press and hold the
DISP button for at least 3 seconds while the
time is displayed. The time indication will blink

2. Turn the Rotary encoder to adjust the hours
while the time indication is blinking.

3. When the hour has been adjusted, press the
Rotary encoder.

4. Turn the Rotary encoder to adjust the minutes
while the time indication is blinking. The time is
automatically set 5 seconds after the minute
adjustment. The time can also be manually set by
pressing the Rotary encoder.

--------------------------

I hope that helps.

Alpine CDM 7874 won't play rest of CD after track 1.

It could be a bad burn or an issue with the receiver. Try re-burning the CD and see if that helps.

How do I set the clock

With clock shown, press and hold the display button for 3 seconds. The time will blink. Turn the rotary encoder to adjust the hours while the time is still blinking. When the hour is set, press the rotary encoder. This will switch to minutes adjustment. Turn rotary encoder to adjust minutes. Press rotary encoder once minutes are set or wait 5 seconds and time will store automatically. Reference page 6 in this link to Owners Manual for Alpine CDM-9821.

Connect alpine 7874 to alpine powered sub

You need to run the RCA cables from the head unit to the sub for the audio signal, and possibly a turn on wire (the blue one on the back of the head unit), unless the sub has an automatic power feature.

The sub also needs power and ground wires attached, but those do not connect to the head unit. Power should be run directly from the battery with an inline fuse, and ground should go to the nearest good ground point (Trunk latch, seat bolt, etc).

No Sound

There should be a fuse on the back of the radio. It needs to be checked.

FixYa won't allow images larger than 150k, so that's why this is a little blurry.
I hope this helps! Please post rating, if it does.
