No.
AC power is like a child's swing -- it goes from "neutral" to "positive" to "neutral" to "negative" to "neutral", and repeats.
DC power is like leaning into a strong wind -- as long as you keep leaning, you stay on your feet; stop leaning, and the force of the wind will blow you down.
So, you cannot substitute AC for DC power.

I think you've misunderstood the question. I understand the difference between AC and DC current and was not asking if I could connect a DC powered piece of equipment to an AC source. I am asking if I can switch the power supply in my 2811 Router from a PWR-2811-DC to a PWR-2811-AC.
Ahh! I didn?t realize this is and amateur (and immature) site. You seem to have a little knowledge and fluff it up with anecdotal B.S. to make it seem like you know what you?re talking about. You do this site a disservice. You DO NOT understand the question, so don't bother answering again. If you're the only one answering questions on this site then I will go elsewhere.
