Ipod touch wont sync with my iTunes since upgrading to ios8

If iTunes is not recognizing and syncing with the iPod Touch try:
http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS1538

Also try disabling your anti-virus software as this can cause communication issues with iTunes and your iOS device.

My 8GB ipod touch is disabled and showing connect to itunes

Hopefully the option wasnt selected to delete the ipod after a certain number of incorrect passcode entries.

When you connect your ipod to itunes its going to reformat it.
(meaning it gets erased, they do it as a precaution)

DONT FORGET THE CODE NEXT TIME!

I pod touch

ipods are only designed for itunes so windows shouldn't recognise media player, any way, the new software for ipod touches is greater, meaning your computer/windows media player wont recognise it, only itunes will.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

Thanks to everyone who provided solution inputs. I finally have my iPod back. The solution is: 1. Turn of your iPod. 2. While holding down the 'Home' button, connect to iTunes WARNING: Doing this will return your iPod back to original 'out of the box' settings and you will lose everything. On the bright side, you get a 'fresh' start and it will auto update to the most recent software version. Good luck!
