Connect it to your computer, run iTunes, click on your iPod on the left side of iTunes, and click the "restore" button to restore it to factory default settings (no lock code0.
you first have to find out if it's a screen lock (you can succesfully connect it to your computer) or a "manage lock" (connecting doesn't work too)
if it's a screen lock, connect the ipod the the computer you first used it with (the one you used to install the ipod), open itunes and then disconnect again, it should be unlocked
if it's a manage lock, connect the ipod to the computer and restore the factory settings, warning, this will erase ALL data. then reconnect it and synchronise
