Poulan 5020 chainsaw only runs full choke, changed lines, filter & carb??? even checked carb mount

Too much air and not enough fuel. Did you change the primer bulb? Not letting enough fuel through.

I have poulan pro 16" the fuel line was decayed

sounds to me that the carb is dirty you need to disconnect the fuel lines and unscrew it from the chainsaw then unscrew the bottom carefully blow through the intake and exit pipes they should be clear if not then you can use a thin piece of wire to unblock them replace the bottom and re attach the carb push the bulb on the bottom and it should fill with petrol pump it a few times then try starting the chainsaw it should start

Your primer bulb must have 2 lines coming off.One goes to the tank and one to the carb.If it doesen;t it must have broken off.if so it needs to be replaced the bulb will say tank and carb on the back of it.In very small letters.

a good starting point is the low speed screw at 1 3/4 turns and the high side at 1 1/2 turns. Hope it helps

Have a poulan chainsaw that won't idle/stay running and bogs down when you press the trigger control. Do you need a certain wrench to adjust carb??

no carb ajustment is done with a flat head screwdriver, first i would remove the card, disassemble it and blast it with compressed air because its probably just clogged up with varnish. to ajust the high low and idle screws bottom both out ( turn in all the way) then unscrew each one turn. from there start the saw and loosen in 1/4 turn at a time until it runs well

I need to know how to adjust carb on a Poulan chainsaw Model number 2050 Preditor

set both jets out 1 1/2 turns and then start it up and fine tune it from there. This will start you out right close to excellent. hope this helps you

Have a 32 cc poulan chainsaw. Have plenty of spark but no fire

check the line filter in the gas tank it might be clogged

Walbro wt hose routing on poulan saw

Carb has 2 nipples. top nipple gets line with filter on it from tank, bottom nipple receives line from bulb other side of bulb returns to tank

Start with "H & L" at 1,5 CCW from lightly seated then tune for performance like this:

CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.
There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full – may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too. I hope this is helpful
