I have a printmaster office suite that works in win.95and win 98 very well. I am on win vista now and cant load this program. I know the program is old, but i have stored on discs alot of work ! i need to see and use. what do you think.

Broderbund PrintMaster Gold 16.0 is not compatible with Vista.

You can try to use Vista compatibility mode to run older programs in Vista. There is not guarantee that it will work!!! Please take note:- **The installation of an older program to run in a newer OS may also crash your PC too.

Yes, according to their website it is compatible with Windows 7. If you click on Works With Windows 7 on their website, go to page 4 you will see PrintMaster Platinum 2.0 on there.

However, in case you will have trouble running it on Win 7, try the following: right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. You may be able to get it to work by installing it in compatability mode. Right click on the install file and choose windows 98 on the compatability tab.
You could also use a virtual machine, you could load a copy of windows 98 and then use your program in the VM.
There are free Virtual machine programs, but you would need a valid copy of win 98

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Right click on .exe file and select "Run as Window 98"

I understand that most old xp programs wont work on Vista. You might call the mfg. to see if they have a diver that would work with Vista.
Or some kind of other fix. I dought that they Have. New printer with vista software is probably in your future.

All these type programs can be used ion vista.by simply selecting help/support/ type: old programs
Vista asks to use cd - then it is installed

been running printmaster platinum 8.0 for many years on several different computers . have had it installed and running on my HPPavilion slimline for two years now . problem is that i cant get it too print anything new that i create it will print out older stuff that i have created but nothing new . have checked drivers on print they are all up to snuff , and have uninstalled and reinstalled both the printer and the printmaster program but still cant get it too print anything new that i create . it does print everything else in the PM program. and otherwheres on my computer
