My daughter put a plastic cd into the console unit...
I just discovered that my daughter put one of her plastic play cd's into the wii. It is smaller than an actual wii game. W/ a flashlight, I can see it, right inside the console. Would it be safe to try to get it out w/ a butter knife? It seems like I can only get to it when the eject button has been pushed...

what i would recommend is to unplug the unit and hold the power/eject button for 15 seconds. Plug the unit back in and hold the eject for 10 seconds while the unit is on. shake the unit with no cd in if it rattles then there is a cd stuck, you could try taking apart but its not easy you have to take off hidden screw caps & unclip panels using an old credit card so as not to dent the plastic, plus there is allways one or two screws hiding !

I had this issue before with a particular disc, as well. It may have been LUCK, but unplugging the Wii from the power source for 2 minutes resolved that problem somehow, also.

You need to resynch the second remote to the Wii console. To accomplish this you need to hit the sync button under the battery cover on the remote, and then when the lights are flashing on the remote, you hit the sync button on the Wii. The synch button is located under the small cover to the left of the cd/dvd slot.

well.. i guess some of the money could be inside there the discs plays.. so i doubt there will be problems if you open it.. it will be easy to find.. the problem will be finding the screwdriver that can open the Wii... i dont remember well if it was the triangle one.. but i know its not a common one..
