If it is a television set that is made for the electrical current in the United States, it will not operate in Jamaica, for that matter it should not even plug in.
There are adapters that will convert the electricity for you when you buy them somewhere.

you can try unlocking your phone through codes. its the safe way to
unlock your phone. because when you unlock your phone through software
or hardware there are possibilities for data getting corrupted or lost.
but there is no such possibilities when you unlock through codes. thats

I was able to get the unlock code for my LG Thrill smart phone from unlockworldwide.com. They gave me both the NCK code and SPCK (service provider) code. Give them a try for your LG CE0889.
There are two possible solutions to this you may need to go back to a Verizon store that has "flash" capability and have them flash it or you may have a bad ribbon cable between the keyboard and main display
