MOST LIKELY THE EXHAUST IS STOPPED UP, CHECK THE SPARK SCREEN AND CLEAN IT BY BURING THE CARBON OFF WITH A TORCH, BE SURE TO RE-INSTALL THE SCREEN FOR SAFTEY. IF ITS STILL STOPPED UP THEN TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER AND CLEAN THE EXHAUST PORTS AND CATELETIC CONVERTOR IF EQUIPED

Throttle issues with Ryobi battery trimmer

There could be a few potential causes for this issue with your Ryobi battery-operated trimmer:
  1. Battery issue: If the battery is low on charge or not able to provide enough power to the trimmer, it may shut down when operating at full throttle. Try charging the battery fully and see if the issue persists. If the battery is old or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
  2. Overheating: If the trimmer motor or battery overheats, it may shut down to prevent damage. Try using the trimmer for shorter periods of time and allowing it to cool down between uses.
  3. Trimmer head or cutting line issue: If the trimmer head or cutting line is damaged or worn, it may cause the motor to work harder than normal, leading to overheating and shutdown. Check the trimmer head and cutting line for damage and replace as necessary.
  4. Trigger or motor issue: If the trigger or motor is faulty, it may cause the trimmer to shut down when operating at full throttle. Contact Ryobi customer support or a professional repair technician for assistance in diagnosing and repairing the issue.
Overall, it's best to start with the simplest potential causes first (such as the battery charge level or trimmer head condition) before moving on to more complex issues like faulty triggers or motors.

Echo hsc 225 hedge trimmer throttle sticks

I would suspect a defective throttle valve ( carb ) try this, three screws on top ( by throttle valve ) loosen them slightly and see if this frees up. If not find a dealer and get a new carb. You now know what damages ethanol causes.

My Kawasaki Trimmer is running bad. It will run

Check the throttle cable. You probably need to tighten it up. You will find it on the left hand side of the engine that is mounted it the top of the trimmer, thats where it normally is, but with the japanese you wouldn't know!! Have a look for it, won't be hard to find anyway. Also check the finger throttle. probably slack too.

Once you found the throttle cable at the top, find a optimum idling value and then tighten the cord at that point. (there should be an adjustable screw there.)

Hope it help's.

Hughie.

Troy Bilt Trimmer 75SS stalls at full throttle. new gas

Hello. Let me assist you. Since your trimmer runs but stalls at ful throttle it is telling you that there is a fuel problem. Not enough gas is getting through the carbeurator to satisfy the engines needs on full throttle. Most likely the carbeurator is gummed up. A common problem. Let's see if we can un gum it by getting a can or carbeurtor cleaner. Go to any auto parts store and talk to the clerk about your need.
