I do not have the original remote to the sanyo DS27510 27" tv. But there is no option on the tv menu button to program a video 1 or video 2 channel. Do you know a way how to program somewhat like an aux seq on the tv so i can watch dvd's on the tv?

IF your tv doesnt have the VIDEO & AUDIO IN , then you need to purchase an RF adaptor to connect a DVD OR VCR , usually sold at RADIO SHACK , HOPE THIS HELPS AJ

SOURCE: problem with video input

If you look at your remote there should be a small rectangular box (shape of a tv) with an arrow going through it. You can use this to flick through av1 av2 etc

Got a Sanyo DS25320 and using a universal remote. The screen is blue and says Video and when I hit menu it only gives me the option of auto/ manual/ game or language, can not get to the other selections....

The tv universal remotes are having very limited options in functions and tv universal remotes are only work correctly are like buttons power on/off volume up/down and channels up/down.Menu button and a Video setting option modes functions setting are another story all together. These two functions Menu button and Video setting modes funtions will not work correctly in any tv universal remotes.Because these Menu and Video setting modes are belong into the internal setting of the tv itself. It will only work correctly with the tv original remote only.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to use.

I have an older sanyo tv with no menu button. I cant get it to scan for channels

your options are:

1. buy a replacement multi-remote with a menu button on it and program it for your tv (the 4inone remotes are great for this task)

2. hook up a new digital tuner/converter and tune through it with its remote.

3. find another remote for your tv on ebay.

my personal choice would be #2 as that way you also get hd channels.
as well as a remote.

Sanyo ds 27510 tv no remote want to setup my tv with an antennea, wont switch from video 2

If it has a MENU button, press it and use the volume up and down to manipulate the choices, press menu again when you get to channel setup. you want AIR if using off air or Cable for cable. Next screen should say start and press menu again, the channels will start to cycle. If htat doesnt do it, you have a new model than the one I just did tonight. OneForall remotes will probably not have the setup button you need to autoprogram. Best bet is to find a Sanyo made universal remote or other Sanyo remote on Ebay as alot of the buttons are proprietary to manufacturer. Some TV's are useless without their own remote if not on a external tuner (cable SAT or digital)

Sanyo stuck on video mode

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

Input problem

If you have the original remote, hit video, source, or input button, if it dont have them, then try to change the tv to channel 00 (zero or zerozero), if not then the channels might have to scroll to it, from channel 02 down to make it loop, if it goes to the next highest channel, then you need a remote. It may be set in the menu options to have the video source not saved to your list of saved channels. when you scan the channels, the tv might not look for the A/V source (audio / video), maybe just the RF source. The 3 DVD RCA wires are 1 video and 2 stereo, one stereo for left and one stereo for right. The TV has only 2 , 1 for video and 1 for mono 1 channel sound. This wouldnt have anything to do with why you cant use the DVD player. but try that with the original remote (or a universal remote that is set to your tv set that has either video, input, source or something similar. It is what tells the tv to change from the cable source (RF) and the AV source (the Red White and Yellow plugs, in your TV's case, 2 plugs, one yellow and the other either red or white or something). Dont really know how to explain it much more but hope it helps.

TV screen on video 2 and remote died

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. Good Luck
