Problem was solved by our handy man he replaced a washer and used candle wax to lubricate the part and it seems to have done the trick. I am still however looking for a manual for the Bosch TS2000 table saw as my husband has miss placed it. I guess I would address the Bosch company for that.
Thank you
Linda

Lower blade guard alternatives?

Hi,

It sounds like you've called all 3rd party locations. Please call Bosch directly and request the part. And if they don't have it in the U.S. then you can request the phone number for their international locations. The U.S. phone number is 1-800-944-2904. Otherwise, I would search on ebay and alibaba to find the part that you've mentioned.

Thank you.

My Bosch 4000 table saw is making a clicking sound when running?

Question moved from Bosch Computer, to Bosch 4000 table saw.

Unplug the unit and turn the blade by hand. Check the blade is tight and running true. See if the blade is touching anything. If you can't see anything wrong there, it make be the carbon brushes in the motor.

Bosch table saw hard to raise and lower blade

The only solution is to remove the trunnions and threaded rod, thoroughly clean them and lubricate with a silicone based product. Clean these areas at the end of each use to extend the period between tear-downs (yes, you'll probably need to do it periodically). Also, once disassembled, clean and lubricate the guides on the motor mount.
I removed the motor altogether to make this task easier. I recommend cutting the power lead to it and installing a quick connect to avoid having to go through the trouble of disassembling the power switch. Good luck.

Which way do i turn the nut to loosten the blade on a bosch gcm 800s compound saw?

I can't find a Bosch model GCM800 saw in their library but regardless; all arbor nuts, bolts, etc. that hold on blades will loosen if you turn them in the same direction the blade spins when cutting. This makes them self tightening so the blade won't come off while in use.

Blade won't rise

it lowers easy because of the weight of the motor. What I would try and do is unplug tool first and lay on its backside and try and blow all the dirt from the gears/slide assembly. Look for a broken part where the shaft goes thru and if none use a DRY LUBE spray and also check for proper meshing of the gears. After lubrucating while saw is laying on its back look at the gear for any possible binding. Set upright and try again.

The blade is hard to raise and lower

Check the threaded rods that turn to move the motor assembly up and down. These rods are sometimes oiled or greased and this just attracts saw dust and eventually binds up the system. Clean as best you can and the threads they turn in to raise the blade. Also check the tilt rods.
Another thing to check is the joints everything pivots on. Occasionally a small peice of wood can get in just the right (or wrong) place and the motor assembly won't move because it's blocking the pivot points.

i would say the table is twisted then, strip it down first and if you need to "bend!" it back so it works
