My Blackberry curve 8310 constantly reboots when I'm in the middle of a text, a phone call, or when it's just sitting on my desk. It happens several times a day. It seems to happen less often if I disconnect the bluetooth, but it still happens some.

This issue only occurs when trying to send a SMS text message from within the call details screen of a call in the call log.
To avoid this issue, complete the following steps to send a SMS text message from the call log screen:

  1. Open the Phone application.
  2. Open the Call Log by clicking the middle button in the toolbar.
  3. Touch the call log/contact in the list without clicking the screen.
  4. Display the menu, then select SMS Text (Name/Number).
  5. If required, rotate the BlackBerry smartphone to switch to landscape mode.

Phone cannot be controlled at all, and the display is a little hour glass just spinning in the middle of the screen. It goes on and off at will, and no buttons work.
It sounds like you have virus on the phone and in this case you will have to take it to a dealer so that they can help you there with the phone as they need to reformat and re install what the phone had on it from the Factory to get rid of that virus.a Reputed repair and servicing dealer will be able to help as they have the instruments needed to do the job.

Don't worry, try this step to insert your Blackberry Curve 8310 Unlock Code :

1 - Switch on your Blackberry Curve 8310 without any Sim card,

you can follow the steps to unlock BlackBerry Curve 8310/8320. You must have a SIM card in your BlackBerry Curve phone to complete these steps ( Can be active or inactive )
1. go to settings on BlackBerry Curve > go to options > go to advanced options > go to sim card
2. Type MEPD (not case sensitive) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
3. Does it say Network active? if so your phone is locked
4. Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
5. It will say “Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the 16 digit unlock code, press in the trackwheel / jog dial to confirm
6. Your BlackBerry Curve phone is now unlocked

I can no longer recieve text msg in the text folder. The folder now shows call log even tho it is the text msg screen. I have tried to reboot with no acceptable results. It is a Blackberry 8310
I had to reset the phone to the factory defaults from the options menu. Then I rebooted the phone.

Try removing the password before attempting to sync to your computer.
On the pressing the keys and getting only numbers sounds like the numbers shift is locked.
simply press the alt on the bottom left of your keyboard.
the use of numbers only or sometimes caps only will be indicated on your screen. observe the symbols along the top and the bottom .
type something as if you were going to send a text message to text that the keyboard is set to normal and lower caps.
