When your ipod become stuck, black screen or no display try to reset. To reset look at your ipod you can see their a small hole you need to push it use safety pin to push.
plug it in and then press restore to store settings, like on the screen dedicated soly to your itouch?? then load again, without 3G cuz that may b the prob. if it still doesnt work, take it to the apple store.
Take you iPod Touch to a nearby Apple store and they will give you a new one. Or send it to apple and they will give you a new one. This is a well documented problem that apple is replacing ipods with this problem your itouch is under warranty...use it
