You'll want to leave it off. This next part sounds weird but it does work sometimes. I learned it while working at RadioShack. Basically, you can just put it in a bag of rice, charging port facing down, and place this bag in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. The rice absorbs water and it sounds a little crazy but it works about 70% of the time.

Hope this helps :)

I cant get my music of my ipod nano onto my new netbook? i HAVE A NEW NETBOOK WHICH IS WINDOWS 7 AND I CANT TRANSFER MY MUSIC OFF MY IPOD NANO 4GB ONTO MY NETBOOK?

iDevices (iPod, iPhone, etc) usually can only be managed through iTunes. So the first thing you should do is install iTunes (you can download it off Apple's website).

After installing iTunes and connecting your iPod, you must open My Computer then double click your iPod's icon. Then, click on Tools, Options, and in the View tab check the "Show hidden files and folders" option. You should then see an "iPod_Control" folder. Inside it there'll be a "Music" folder, with all your songs. Just drag them back to your computer.

But remember: you can only manage your iPod's music through iTunes. If you add or change songs on your iPod without using iTunes, these songs won't be recognized.

I put a passcode on my ipod nano and i have forgotten the passcode now it will not let me do anything with it.

Try plugging it into the computer you normally sync it with. Then open iTunes.
After iTunes recognizes your nano, you can eject and disconnect the iPod from your computer.

It should be unlocked now.

If that does not work, then you'll have to restore your iPod (which will remove *all* data from the iPod).
You can do that like this:
plug it in to your computer
launching iTunes
when iTunes recognizes your nano, click on the nano, then click on "Restore" (on the "Summary" tab).

Then follow the onscreen instructions.

You'll need to resync all your music, etc. to get it back on your iPod.

Hope this helps!

I cant get i tunes to recongize my ipod nano

1. Reset or restore your iPod for a try, this can fix many general iPod problems. 2. You may try this iTunes alternative, I always use it to upload music and video to my iPod once my iTunes can't recognize my iPod, my friends recommend it to me, it's safe and works pretty well, you can also use it to copy music and video from ipod to computer for backup, it's useful when you lost your iTunes library. http://www.ipod-transfer-copy.com/ipod-iphone-to-computer-transfer-cucusoft.html 3. Upgrade or re-install iTunes for a try, this is the method that I got from Apple technical support. Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question.

My iPod nano 2gb silver is showing a blank white screen.i've had it for close to a year and it freezes sometimes but that fixes itself when i drain the battery and then sinc it. but this time it just went...

Try the Five R's suggested by your user's manual - you can get the manual from Apple's website if you have lost it:
Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If
one of the following doesn’t help, read on for solutions to specific problems.
â Reset your iPod nano. See “General Suggestions,” below.
â Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes.
â Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates
installed.
â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web.
â Restore your iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page whatever.

Go throught this page

Your ipod might need to be repaired, the apple service assistant is on the bottom.

Might be a loose connection or other failing component I don't think there is no quick fix for this.

If the problem is solved dont forget to rate as fixya otherwise there is no need to rate it. As there is noting else we could do about it.

Whats the deal

You may have a non-Apple product, the knockoffs for the Nano look very similar. Here is a link that describes what to look for: http://reviews.ebay.com/FAKE-Apple-iPod-Nano-and-iPod-Shuffle-Exposed_W0QQugidZ10000000001518511
