I have a t reg 1999 ford escort 1.8 td, i was driving home yesterday when the coil ignition light came on.. i managed to get home and my brother looked under the bonnet where he said he thought a ticking noise we could hear was coming from the battery but today the car wont start and the coil light isnt coming on at all. can you give me an idea of what could be wrong and if its very costly to repair? many thanks danielle
It sounds like the glow plug relay has packed up you could try and get a second hand one this would be a cheaper option than buying a new one.
