There is a small gun-metal colored bar at the very rear, just below the back of the blade. It pushes inward, in the direction of the blade. Push it firmly in and pull up on the teeth of the blade. It should pop upward. You can then remove the blade from the tongue that it sits upon. When you want to put it back, slide the blade back on the tongue, then, WITH THE MOTOR TURNED ON, push the blade down to its seated position. It will click into place.

Oster A-5 Golden clipper blade is not flush against the clipper so wont clip you have to hold the blade down tight so it will clip.

see if the blade and hinge have moved away from the body of the clipper, the two screws either side of the hinge assembly may need tightening, or the main body may need replacing,
If its just one blade then there must be a problem with that blade.

Oster clippers blade

John! No Problem!
First put the bigger of the two blades witht the size/number facing down, put the cutter on top. (with the side with the flat side of the teeth facing down) Then put the tongue guide inside the tension spring, make sure the tension spring rail is on the tension rail and place them on top of the cutter. To see which bits these are go to: http://www.sheareaseltd.com/clipper-blade-sharpening/clipper-blades-the-parts
This picture whows the front and back, it differs slightly from your blade, but its same meat different gravy!

Hold all this together with your finger and thumb, flip it over and scre the whole lot together!

Oster Blade 918-306 Size Texturing Fits Oster Classic 76 Clipper, Power Pro, Power-teq And Star-te: Oster class 76 clippers....had them for a week and...

70ca16d.jpg Hope this helps, this is a tongue guide, you hopefully recognise it on your blade. If they are not paralell, then adjust them with pliers, both need to be perfectly vertical. When you put it on the clippers push the latch in as you close the hinge.
If it still wobbles then the next fe wthings need checking
1. The hinge screws on the clipper are tight, located either side of the hinge on the clipper.
2. The drive lever may be worn, thats the maroon peice of plastic sticking up at the top of the clippers, it moves from side to side when clippers are running.
3. If all seems fine up to now, your clipper should be fixed under warranty as it will involve changing parts covered by the warranty.

Using T-84 Andis blade for horses and cutting

Check the two screws either side of the hinge assembly make sure they are tight, the problem appears to be with the clipper if all blades do the same.

Can get it right

If the clippers are new, it is not likely that the problem is internal. Sometimes, when the blade is put on the clipper, it needs an extra little push to clip firmly behind the blade catch (you can hear a little click). Try that.

Blade change problem & no info in enclosed instructions

Hi A5 blades are not made to be unscrewed. They are snap on blades. You can call 800-830-3678 which is Oster Direct consumer service. They will walk you though the process or you can send them back to Oster and they will put them back together and realign them for you. Hope that helps.

OSter Titan hair clippers

Oster titan blades. I have had mine for 5 years.
Oil one is a little ball on the side of clippers push in with oil tip. Make sure your clippers are running for this. You also have to grease them once in awhile with clipper grease. You should have a front panel that has screws. open and grease put case back on. for cord you can try an oscar fix place or try and see if the company will replace if you have not had them long. hope this helps.
