Wii, Guitar Hero 5, will not read disk.

You could have a finger print or something on the disc. Try running some water on it and dry it off with a clean cloth.

Game disc cannot be read on the wii

Make sure you haven't scratched the disc. even 1 scratch might put it out of operation. if not, grab a drive cleaner, they have little brushes on them, and may clean your wii lens.

Gibson guitar doesnt play on rock band, only vocals come up

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.

Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii won't load

Solution: Wii Console needed to download a software upgrade from the web to run Guitar Hero World Tour. Internet connection in our home is via a Linksys ADSL wireless router. Entered Wii Setup menu (select Wii button on bottom left of screen). Changed Connection 1 from None to Wireless. Wii picked up the SSID broadcast from the router. Did a Test Connection which worked. Wii Console prompted me to 'download Wii System Upgrade from Web?'. Clicked OK. Download took approx 10 mins. On completion of download Guitar Hero World Tour loaded automatically. Note: I have read that the Wii uses wireless protocol 802.11b. Make sure your router has both 802.11g and 802.11b enabled or 802.11b only for the duration of the download. Best of luck.
