If I add a Bluetooth Adapter to my pc,and use my Nokia bluetooth headset thats for my cellphone, can I use it on my computer to use for skype or anything that has to do with talking? both Audio and Mic

How to connect bluetooth headset Nokia BH-503 with Windows 7
I try to use bluetooth headset with my laptop(Dell Latitude E6500) but I can't find device Nokia BH-503 in my bluetooth searching windows.
Many people found this problem. How to fix it? I think this problem is human error or device manual not cover,how to use device with computer and laptop.
if you want to find your bluetooth devices when you search bluetooth devices from your computer.
- Turn off bluetooth headset.
- Start add bluetooth devices function from your computer for search bluetooth devices.
- Hold call button on Nokia BH-503 untill the light blue and red blink (not only light bule blink).
- You will see Nokia Bluetooth BH-503 in your searching window.
- select Nokia BH-503 device and click "Next" for connect the device

The headset may still be listed on the computer, you need to delete it and then re-pair it back up the computer. When your computer crashed you didn't say if the bluetooth is on the computer or if it is something that is an adapter, which may have been damaged in the crash.

1. Make sure you are using the latest version of Skype.
   
2. Make sure that Bluetooth works on your computer. You can refer to your computer manufacturer's documentation or website for details on how to set up Bluetooth on your computer. • Sign in to Skype and in the Tools menu, select Options...

• Remember that not all Bluetooth headset features may be available when making a call with Skype. For example, whether the buttons on your headset function correctly depends on your Bluetooth stack.

Turn on Bluetooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.2

Dont worry all you need to is follow the following steps :
1.turn on the bluetooth in your cellphone or if you are using a USB cable so insert the CD for the cellphone
2.install the software for the cellphone in your computer as for NOKIA its NOKIA PC SUITE
3.turn on the wireless in your computer or connect the USB cable
4.for bluetooth connection only(go to bluetooth devices)
select add a wireless device
5.select your device
6.go with the Addition process and close the window
FOR USB CABLE CONNECTION
connect your phone to the PC and start working

If the Bluetooth adapter can detect the phone but not the Plantronics headpiece, then there's no problem with your computer or your Bluetooth adapter. The problem has something to do with the Plantronics.

Try to turn the headpiece off, then turn it back on. Set it to discovery mode, then try to detect it using your computer. If that did not help.

Try to detect the Plantronics, using your phone. That will help you in isolating the problem.

Aside from that, make sure that no possible wireless interference while you're searching for the headpiece. Cell phone, base of the cordless phone should be away from the computer while you're searching for the headpiece. Because Bluetooth and cellphones/cordless phones are running on the same 2.4GHz frequency RF signal. They might interfere with each other.

you have to fit a bluetooth device to your pc..and then you can connect your phone to the pc via bluetooth..its very expensive..better but the CA-101 cable..its cheap and very easy and reliable

If you are indeed talking about your Insignia bluetooth headset the reason it works with your cellphone is probably because your phone is already bluetooth enabled, but your laptop is not, which is what the usb dongle is for. You must install the drivers for the dongle for it to make your laptop bluetooth enabled. Once you have that working you need to go to Bluetooth places (should be on the desktop once the driver is installed) THEN hold the button on the headset down until the lights flash blue and red alternating. Once it is flashing, click on add new bluetooth device in the Bluetooth Places and it should pick it up. Once that is going everything is pretty straighforward...follow the wizard. Hope this helps!
