Hi I have almost the same problem as ame_91_ok with my Asus Eee Pc 1005Ha. It suddenly shut down a few days ago and ever since that time it boots the bios screen where you have to press F1 to enter setup or F2 to load with the default settings. If I press F1 I enter the bios setup and if I press F2 it's boots fine after that and it seems to work normally. Still I'd like to know what the problem is and if I can fix it before it might get worse. I don't know anything about bios settings or anything like that so I could really use some expert advise. Already tried updating my bios, I have the latest bios version now but that didn't fix the booting problem.
Normally you would hit the F2 key as soon as the Bios starts the boot sequence and it is written on the bottom of the Splash screen screen This throws the machine into the setup screen where you can look at the hard drive boot sequence or memory.
to format, whats that?
