I suspect that you have not setup the location and time that is your spot on the earth.

Do you relate more to your sun or moon sign?

Men tend to more or less Sun sign people, but it could just relate to their father. Women are more Moon sign, but again that could relate to the mother. If you have other planets in Pisces or your chart or any other thing relating to it, then you would lean towards Pisces. However you do say "feel" and that is what the moon controls, your feelings!

Cannot see anything through my tlelescope

  1. Get Stellarium or another fine astronomy program
  2. During the day, point the telescope at a part of the landscape about 100 yards away.
  3. Use the lowest power eyepiece (highest number) in the focal tube.
  4. Center the landscape object in the telescope.
  5. Align the finder scope so that it points exactly where the main telescope is.
  6. At night, leave the scope out to reach thermal equilibrium (about an hour for small reflectors and refractors)
  7. If the scope is on a EQ mount, polar align.
  8. Point the finder at the moon. The moon should be in the main scope also.
  9. Practice finding the moon before you start on the planets
  10. Once you are comfortable with the moon and planets, you can go for the deep sky objects

Where can i find the moon

Look up. Look way up.
It depends where you are on the planet; the time of year; the time of day; and of course no clouds in the way.

What planets did galileo discover

Galileo's accomplishments did not include any planet discoveries but were significant nonetheless. The 6 planets known in his time had been known since antiquity. With the help of the newly invented telescope however, Galileo discovered the 4 largest moons of Jupiter. That discovery alone was quite extraordinary but it was its ramification that created more problems.

Back in the 17th century, is was essentially Church doctrine that the Earth is at the center of the universe and that everything else - everything - revolved around it. What Galileo found was not only do these moons exist, they revolve around Jupiter, not the Earth. This what ultimately got him exiled in his later life.

One other discovery Galileo had using the telescope was that Saturn had "ears" on each side. Later, as telescopes became larger and could resolve more detail, it was found that the "ears" was actually a ring around the planet.

Starguide can not even find the moon let alone planets

question answered on another post-- the moon and planets are CALCULATED and will always have some error. Your initial alignment MUST BE very accurate.

CELESTRON 127EQ faulty magnification

It won't increase viewing power by hundreds of time but it should be able to show you a close up view of the moon and planets where they look closer (or with the moon, parts of it look closer). When you say it looks further away, something is quite wrong as you know. It sounds like the eye piece is backwards in the mount? Can't imagine what else would make it smaller. Also can't imagine you could even get it in backwards. I have a scope by Meade that is essentially the same Newtonian design. Best of luck.
