Heres the steps to take:
Take out the battery and only hook up the ac adapter to it. If that doesn't do it.
Take out the memory and reinsert it one stick at a time in each slot one stick at a time and turn on the laptop after each stick reinsertion.
If that doesn't work, then take out the hard drive and then finally the dvd drive.
If you've done all of this and you still can't get video then that means the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.
