Using as heater and unit is blowing cold air

A heat pump is an air conditioner that reverses its refrigerant flow. In the cooling mode, the evaporator is cold to the room and its condenser is hot. In the heating mode, a valve reverses the refrigerant flow and makes the evaporator warm and the condenser cold.

My unit is only 2 months old and its making a squeeling grinding bearing kind of noise in front of the the unit and its on the bottom where youu can feel the grinding on the outer casing. What could it be?

I had the same issue with my Soleus PAC unit making a squealing, grinding noise.

I took the unit apart to locate the issue and found out that the water pump on the lower right side was the issue.

I removed the water pump and used warm water and a little bit of dish washing soap along with a qtip to clean the water way.

Squealing stopped.

Not sure if this is the same issue with your unit - but it can be a starting point.

Just be sure to unplug the unit while working on it. Also be careful not to puncture the coolant lines.

Good luck.

Soleus MA-9000AH blows hot air

Sounds like the compressor is not running. This model had lots of problems with over heating. It also will never really blow more than a moderate cooling through it. Since you have cleaned all the filters and is still 100 deg, I believe the failure will be the compressor itself or the capacitor.

If you find an oily residue in the drain or on the pipes, it may have simply leaked the refrigerant out. Good Luck!

Delonghi Pac L90

Hoses for proper connection should have been included with your purchase. Without the hoses the set-up can not be done satisfactory. One is for fresh air supply and the other is the hot air exit hose. These are normally vented out a window. Check with the dealer where you perchased the unit from. If from a private individual contact them.
