First, check to see if the airflow is blocked at the back of the fridge compartment as this also may cause the lower items to freeze. Fridge freezing is usually the malfunction of the damper swing door or the circuit controlling it. A failure of the temperature sensor in the fridge could be the cause. We just had ours replaced this year [on extended warranty]
Yes, replace the control board and you should be good to go. Here is the part to order. Here is a diagram of the control board location. It is number 13.
check the damper vent door between the refrige and freezer and make sure its opening up to let cold air from freezer into the refrige, sometimes they freeze up and cant open and close when called upon to do so,if so deice it with a hair dryer, the side being hot is good telling you the compressor is operating correctly
hi there is a electronic vent that opens when cool air is needed and a fan ..to blow it up through channel.you need to find out if the fan is working first..open fridge door and push light switch in this should turn your fan on you should hear it hummmming. also put other hand were the vent is to fill if cold air coming through ..if not then you need to change vent assy. hope this helps,01179512835
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it.
Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it
to run. There is a flap you adjust with
the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if
you have one or the mechanical linkages.
You may have to open the door to let the dispenser thaw since it's in the door.

Hi thanks for te question. it should be the opposite of what its doing did somebody work on this fridge before. it looks like somebody switched the light and the fan switch
Does freezer cool like the cold food section? Did this suddenly happen, and frozen food began to thaw? Most freezers control the cooling in the cold food section. The freezer must work fine before the cold food section will work fine. Let us know more, Thanks JT
