Try different speakers and wires first.

Testimonial: "Thank you, have had it to a repairer who has stated that there is an issue in the power section of the amp, the green light stays on. However the repairer is unable to fix the amp without a schematic of the power source side of the amplifier. There doesn't appear to be any components that are obviously defective... If someone has the schematics this would be greatly appreciated as Alpine willnot release these to me and dont want to know about the prblem as the amp is over 19 years old.... Dont want to through the amp as it has been a beastand would rather work through the schematics in a process of elimination to find and rectify problem..."

Alpine mrv-f545 powers up but no power going to the channels

I suppose you checked all the usual suspects? Fuse, Ground, and Remote turn on?
Now if memory serves me isn't that an amp that has a digital display on the top? If so you have to scroll thru the menu items and see if it is on low pass or even off? The gains are tricky because they get louder with less dbs. but check the outputs.
if all else fails it's probalby bad.

V12 MRV-1507 or Xplod? Amplifier - XM-ZR1252 good quality sound

Alpine is just a better brand in general. I have the older MRV-1507, sounds GREAT, i have had friends who has had the Explode line, but it was always a temporary system until they got something better, like the alpine or kenwood.

My light on my amp is blinking at a steadty pace.

The amp appears to be in protect mode. The most common reason for an amp to go into or remain in protect mode is shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page. Let me know if you have any other questions.

MRV - 1507 Question ...

The MRV-1507 is a two channel amplifier, below I've pasted important info from the manual:

Battery Lead (Sold Separately)
Be sure to add a 80 amp fuse as close as possible
to the battery’s positive (+) terminal. This fuse will
protect your vehicle’s electrical system in case of a
short circuit. If you need to extend this lead, the wire
gauge should be AWG8 or larger.
MRV-1507 ... 80A amp fuse

Power Output: RMS Continuous Power (at 12.0V, 20 Hz to 20
kHz)
MRV-1507
Per channel into 4 ohms ......................... 150W, 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2 ohms .......................... 300W, 0.3% THD
Bridged into 4 ohms ................................ 600W, 0.3% THD

Could be the power supply or output stage electrolytic capacitors.
Possibly breaking down/drying out inside.

Hi Big Nick,

Sounds like you have got almost all the good out of those Subs. You can find the screws you need at almost any hardware store or Auto parts store. The light is becase you are dloading the amp with low OHMS.  You may need use one channel and Run the wiring like written blow to get the power problem to disappear.

S1+ = Kicker comp cvr sub coil 1 positive

A+ = Amplifier Positive output.

A+ to S1+

S1- to S2+

MRV-F540 Amp shuts off when turning music up

The amp may have defective components, but it is still salvageable. first of all lets discuss what is happening. The amp is cutting off because of excessive current flow. which means one or some of you components have become thermally sensative. You can find out which components they are by using a can of cool mist or any other component cooling spray. this will allow you to find the problem quickly. Now in addition to this you may have to forego the tricks and do some real troubleshooting. Get a schematic of the device and try to take voltage readings to see which components are at fault.
