Replace the motor filter and the exhaust filter if you have one. The cloth bag may also need replaced. Overheating usually meAn something is restricting the airflow.

Hi I am looking to replace brushes and attachments to my EK8005 Steam Cleaner Steam Buggy, do you by any chance carry them. Thank You

Hello, Tessie -

Fixya.com does not sell anything. It is a website intended for questions and answers about repairing _things_.

Without knowing if you reside in the USA or elsewhere in the world, I cannot provide you with a source for purchasing replacement brushes and attachments.

Apparently this is the web page for the TriStar Products which has marketed products with the Steam Buggy brand name:
www.tristarproductsinc.com
You can fill out a form on theTriStar Contact Us page and ask about the availability of the replacement parts you need:
https://www.tristarproductsinc.com/contact-tristar-product-or-invention-help

I did find this information on the RipOff Report website from February 2003:
https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/tristar-products/internet/tristar-products-steam-buggy-impossible-to-get-replacement-parts-no-customer-service-no-44845

Where to find tristar blender model yd 208 motor

Do a web search and type in Tristar Blender Model yd 208 motor. If you can get the part number from your old one, that'll make the search even easier.

I'm looking for replacement parts for tristar sb ek-8005.steam buggie. I bought it many years ago on hsn. Thanks for your help! karen USA

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have done many searches and also contacted the maker of Tri Star vacuum products; they did not market the Tristar Steam Buggy.

Before you consider investing more money in your machine you may like to view this video:At this point the only source of replacement parts is likely the secondary or used market. If you search you will find some products offered in places like ebay. For example:

Trust this is helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Possible engine blow-up in Tristar vacuum
Posted by skutch on May 28, 2008
5 days ago I was using the vacuum, and after 10 mins or so, I smelled a slight electrical burning smell and i immediately turned it off. i tried again yesterday to use it, and almost immediately after turning it on I heard a pop, saw what looked like blue flames somewhere inside, and again it smelled like it was burning. Of course I immediately turned it off and haven't touched it since. Seems to me the engine is a goner, but I believe it has a lifetime guarantee. So where do I get a new engine? I live in the Dayton, Oh area so if you know of anyone that services Tristars in this area I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.

If you are getting an electrical burning smell it is your vacuum motor and you need to replace it. I am not sure if you have a lifetime warranty or not – most warranties are for 1, 2 or 3 years on electrical parts but I can try to give you a website or phone number to TriStar to see if they can help you on this matter. Question? How old is the vacuum and what is the dop? Listed below are some of the phone #’s that might be able to help you. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
