Can any one help me with advice on how to repair the 5th gear on my Chana 1300 Club Star?

I have had the 5th gear and syncro machined but this hasn't helped.
Will it help if I replaced the 5th gear and syncro, can this be done?
I can select 5th gear but when I release the clutch it jumps out of gear or it scratches or both.

5th gear out is a pretty general description, Is it grinding when trying to shift into 5th or when you go to 5th it pops out, or you shift into 5th and nothing happens? It could be a simple syncro repair to replacing just the 5th gear to rebuilding the whole transmission, either way, you may want to consider just buying a JY trans, it would probably be cheaper.
Most can be reset by disconnecting the battery ground wire for a few minutes. If this does not work, some cars require a scan tool be used to reset (ie: clear codes).
