SOURCE: craftsman edger won't start

Does it have a primer bulb? If so, make sure the bulb is not cracked. Also, make sure the fuel lines are not cracked and the fuel supply line reaches the bottom of the tank. Fuel lines, as silly as it sounds, degrade when exposed to gas for long periods of time. If they are cracked it will draw more air than fuel and not allow the engine to run. You can buy replacement fuel line/primer bulb kits for under $10 at practically any hardware store.

SOURCE: Craftsman 2 cycle blower stalls.

Hello,

Most Probably the problem lies in the adjustment of the carburettor. There are two needles in the carb one for lowend adjustment and one for high end adjustment. Your lowend adjustment seems fine. The highend needle needs to be adjusted. Following are some very detailed procedures for adjusting these types of carbs

If your machine has a carb other than a "Walbro" dont worry the procedures are same. I am sure if your engine has not completed its life span this will solve your problem.

SOURCE: Craftsman model 358.791042, gasoline weedwacker wont stay running

The high speed needle valve needs adjusting and it takes a special splined tool to adjust it. I currently am trying to find where I can purchase the tool to adjust the high and low carburator screws.

CRAFTSMAN 20" MULCHING MOWER MODEL

You have to take the bowl nut off he bottom of the bowl and clean it with a small wire or torch cleaners. Try not to allow the bowl to drop off the carb, the float drops down and the needle might come off the float.

My craftsman+Show thrower+model 247.888160 does not start

Make sure the ignition key is installed and the spark plug is connected. The off-most throttle position operates a switch similar to the ignition key. Both ground the ignition circuitry which shuts off the motor. If either are faulty the engine may not run. (In my situation, neither would not shut the engine off so I removed the spark plug wire - and it wouldn't start the next time until I reconnected it. Duh.)
A clogged fuel line may also cause this, and if it smells like gas the carburetor bowl drain may leak and let gas run out so it never gets to the cylinder. #32 in the image.craftsman-show-thrower-model-247-888160-zop2r3qcvvwbzivxvhxuu5lg-4-0.png

I have an old Craftsman 6.75 hp walk behind

Not sure where to look for the model number. But here's a few things to check.
1. If the gas is old (from last year), drain it out of the tank, carb and lines and replace with fresh. Gas can go bad and won't ignite properly after it has been around too long.
2. Replace the spark plug.... sometimes they look good and aren't.
3. Clean the Air filter. Take the filter element out of the housing and give it a good cleaning with compressed air. If it's plugged up with debris and dust, your trimmer won't run.
4. Make sure the oil level is correct. Many of the current motors won't run if the oil is low.
hope this help ya
