1995 explorer 4.0 engine code 335 - Cars & Trucks

NO ENGINE TOLD AT ALL
2002-2009 LL8 4.2 L I6
2005-2009 LH6 5.3 L V8
???????????????????????? MATTERS.
did you buy the car used and in broken state?
replacing sensors blind (guessed) invites relearn H3LL.

you can clear the codes 10 times a day, no damage.!!!!@
it only clears history memory logs on all stored DTC ERRORS.

if the DTC COME back those ARE REAL and NOW. LIVE error.
Codes p0304 p0526 p0335 p0445
304 means combustion is weak on cylinder 4 ( 3BASE CAUSES)
526 = ENGINE RAD COOLING FAN PROB.
335 = Crankshaft Position Sensor ,, VERY SERIOUS THIS FIX FIRST
445 =EVAP VENTS FAIL, FIX DEAD LAST;

(BASE: COMPRESSION ,SPARK ,FUEL) FOR
304 CYL, 4 MEANS SPARK LOST, INJECTOR FAILS OR COMPRESSION FAILS OR EVEN INTAKE AIR LEAKS TO #4 INTAKE PORT. OR A LIE, DUE TO 335, FOR SURE 335 CKP IS INTERMITTENT AND IT MUST BE, AS IF WAS DEAD SPARK ENDS.
FOCUS ON 335, IF IT REPEATS FIX IT.
304 CAN EVEN BE WATER LEAKS TO INTAKE PORT #4
OR EVEN CRACKS IN THE HEAD. TO #4

335 TRY A NEW SENSOR

READ THE SERVICE MANUAL FIRST ON CKP 335 AND SEE IF THE SENSORS MUST BE ADJUSTED OR SHIMMING
OR MUST BE RELEARNED (YES)
TO START A RELEARN, PULL BATTERY NEG LUG FOR 1HR.

OK im reading YOUR SM service manual and doing global search there LEARN in 3 seconds fast I see warnings on CKP


The crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure is required when the following service procedures have been performed, regardless of whether DTC P0315 is set: or 335

• Engine replacement
• Engine control module (ECM) replacement
• ECM reprogramming
• Crankshaft damper replacement
• Crankshaft replacement
• CKP sensor replacement
• Any engine repairs which disturb the crankshaft to CKP sensor relationship

ok now the relearn steps in your manual not read by you, I guess
Install a scan tool.

Monitor the ECM for DTCs with a scan tool. If other DTCs are set, except DTC P0315, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for the applicable DTC that set.

Observe the fuel cut-off for the applicable engine.

3.2.

Block the drive wheels.

3.3.

Set the parking brake.

Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.

Release the throttle when fuel cut-off occurs.

Change the knock sensor and the crankshaft position sensor

Code 335 is a problem with the crank sensor circuit. The sensor would need to be tested.

There are few possibilities that can cause engine misfire issues. It can be issue with spark plugs or faulty spark plugs. Also get the compression test done for cylinders. If any of cylinder shows low compression then required, then that particular cylinder will cause misfire.

Also get obd codes scanned, the error code will let you know which cylinder is misfiring or all cylinders are misfiring.

its faulty coil.

Get the compression test done on each coil.these will let you know if its faulty coil or not.

the code 335 is the crank sensor and that would be a reason it won't start

1996 EXPLORER This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to include the 1995 4.6L Thunderbird/Cougar. ISSUE: After a 1-4 hour engine soak time, long crank times and/or long crank to start followed by a stall may occur on some vehicles. No further stalling or rough idle will occur after the engine is running. The long crank and/or stall may be due to the Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve sticking.
ACTION: Replace the IAC Valve with a revised IAC Valve if no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Perform normal diagnostics and correct any DTCs as required by referring to the appropriate year Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual.
2. If no codes are present, replace the IAC Valve by referring to the appropriate model/year Service Manual, Section 03-14. Refer to the following Idle Air Control Valve Application Chart for proper IAC usage.

I was reading in one of my repair manuals and it says in there that there could be a block where the exhaust gas pressure sensor is. There could be a blocked inlet hose. Or it could be the ECM.
