Good morning i am trying to setup my sons phone. how can we delete the pattern in order to use phone. he forgot draw a pattern

Assuming you are locked out of your phone, follow the steps in the link below to reset your phone. Beware though, your data will be lost/deleted by doing this. Hopefully you had your phone setup to sync your data to your google account, if you had then most or all your data will be restored once you sign back into your google account. Also you will need the google account details the phone was setup with in order to complete the restore. The only way you will not need this information is if the phone was not setup/linked to a google account. 1. Enter wrong pattern 5 times.
2. In incorrect password message will be displayed, Tap OK.
3. Tap Forgot Pattern?
4. Enter your Gmail Username and Password account details that were used when setting up the phone.
5. Tap Sign In.
6. The phone will prompt you to draw a new Pattern Lock. Draw the Pattern and tap Continue.
7. Repeat the Pattern and tap Confirm.

Hi, if you forget the pattern passcode, you can try wrong pattern for 5 times continuously after which choose the option Forgot my pattern and it will ask to enter the google username and password used while setting up the tablet, after which you can reset the pattern.

if you forgot your pattern lock, just give few more tries to continue wrong efforts. at an instant, the OS will report 'attempts exceeded, enter with your gmail'. at this point just enter your email address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL'. this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!
