Hi there! I cant seem to find an answer to my problem here, or anywhere! I just have recieved a used Vivitar Vivicam 5100, and no instructions! I need to know how to shut off the flash, and also where to find the cable or software I need to download pics from the camera onto my computer. Can you please help?
Thanks, Kira

Hi,
Please go here and follow the prompts. Have the camera with you - because they ask for the serial number and some other questions before they give you the information you want.
It is the VIVITAR website.
i lost my disc also and i looked and looked on the internet and no
solutions, i finnaly found the custumer service number for vivitar at
18005929541 and the sent the driver via email and i was up and running
within an hour.
Simple answer: No. These monitors are permanant in the camera, and cannot be replaced unless you found another camera of the same model and managed to solder the screen into your old one. Very tricky to do, I wouldn't recommend it.
NO SOUND
well when recording video it records sound, but this camera does not have a speaker, it cannot play sound back, when you transfer your videos to PC you will hear sound
PC CAM
You cud use the windows 98 mass storage device driver to make the webcam work, but the picture will be very dark, i suggest you look on ebay for the vivicam 5100 and ask one of the seller if they can sell u the CD, this is a very hard driver to find, ive had no luck either
