Try using the troubleshooting option that usually is offered when you get a network error message. If still does not work after that need more specific info on exact wording, Windows version, whether all wifi connections affected, etc.

How do I connect to my wifi ? My new Samsung Galaxy Sky does not recognize my password.

Let's start with the basics first in order to solve your samsung wifi connection issue. Once we go that, we can move forward as necessary.

First double check that your admin hasn't restricted access to new devices connected to the wifi network (even with a password). Then, you can double check that you're using the proper case when enter your password.

If all of these things are ok, then I would suggest that you use the official instructions from Google to add wifi network access to your phone: https://support.google.com/android/answer/9075847?hl=en

Please let me know if this helped you or not.

When accessing the internet on tablet the `Unfortunately, internet has stopped` message appears even though it is showing that wifi is connected

Verify that your router has a good internet connection and that its local IP service (usually through DHCP) is running. Try entering the router's TCP/IP address (e. g., http://169.168.1.1) in your browser's address bar to see if you can get the router's status page.

One of the more common failures in older routers is IP service dropout, particularly if the router overheats because something was stacked on top of it. This will result in client error messages such as the one you describe.

Another possibility is an authentication failure, but that would generally mean somebody messed with the wireless network access password, or there's a bug in the wireless coding (as in some ASUS laptops - this was fixed in a firmware update).

I am trying to connect my tablet to my home network, but it isn't connecting... how do I fix this?

If your WiFi is ON then the station ID should be showing when you look for a wifi signal with your tablet.
You should configure the Access Point with a new password and then attempt to log in with that new password.
You may need to uninstall the driver for the wifi on your tablet and re-install it using a new driver.

My tablet is saying i am offline and will not connect to Wi-fi

Firstly Check if your WIFI router is working by accessing the WIFI connection from another computer, tablet or phone.

If it does, then use the same WiFi connection settings that it has on your ARCHOS.

You could also try connecting your ARCHOS to a friend's WiFi network and if this works, change your access point parameters to similar ones.

OTHER TROUBLESHOOTING OPTIONS:
1. Check your WiFi router/modem documentation to see if it has a pairing button that needs to be pressed. Some modems have such a button that must be pressed the very first time you try to make a WiFi connection with a new device.

2. If you have to enter a password (a security code of type WEP or WPA) be very careful that you do not confuse a 1 and I (one and letter "I"), a 0 and O (zero and letter "O"), or U and V. These are common mistakes.

3. When entering a security code for your WiFi access, check the box "Show Password" which will allow you to see exactly what you are typing in. This will avoid any mistakes.

4. Some access points use what is known as MAC filtering. That means, the WiFi access point has a list of access numbers (every hardware device has a unique MAC number) which are the only ones allowed to access to the WiFi point. The person managing the WiFi modem/router should shut off this MAC filtering system to see if this solves the problem. It is recommended to shut off MAC filtering in general as this is now known to be an outdated and ineffective system for WiFi security. If you must use it, you can find your device's specific MAC address by going to Settings >Wireless & Networks > Wi-Fi settings > Menu > Advanced. It will look something like 00:16:dc:5e:9e:39.

5. Try temporarily shutting off the encryption system of your WiFi router/modem to see if the problem has to do with the encryption system you are using. The preferred encryption system is the WPA2.

Will not connect to wifi

  • Touch the Apps Menu button on the Home screen.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Choose Wireless & Networks.
  • Choose Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Ensure that Wi-Fi is on.
When you see a green check mark next to the Wi-Fi option, Wi-Fi is on.
  • Choose a wireless network from the list.
Available Wi-Fi networks appear at the bottom of the screen. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding wireless access from your current location.
    Optionally, type the network password.
Touch the Password text box to see the onscreen keyboard.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
    Touch the Connect button.
You should be immediately connected to the network. If not, try the password again.
