I know this problem from the many posts about it on this site, as to the cause it is never always the same, it will require a trip to the Toyota dealer for testing and diagnosis with special diagnostic tools.

SOURCE: ABS brakes

Your ABS sensor in the front left wheel is bad, this may also meen your wheel bearing is gone. Jack up that side and put you hands on the top and bottom of tire then shake it. if the tire moves alot you need to replace the wheel bearing.

SOURCE: ABS, Brake, and service 4wd warnings all came on

Lift up your front end, remove the tires, and spin your hub assembly. If it grinds, and doesn't spin very easily, it's a bearing. Bad bearings on chevy trucks are notorious for alerting every sensor in the front end. Start there. It can even falsely trigger your ABS to activate when it's not needed, causing your brakes not to work, and you could crash into something. I speak from experience.

SOURCE: when i started my 2006 rav 4 this morning these

If you had your foot on the brake while starting brake light could come on. If a catalytic convertor does not pass at startup (possibly ox sensor or whole convertor) then the computor turns 4wd vsc and check engine light on. note the six cylinder has three catalytic convertors and the four cylinder has two. Very expensive if convertor(s)

SOURCE: I have a 2006

I had this same problem - took it to the dealer several times to correct. The technician finally was able to identify the problem - the oxygen sensor (FP Number 89465-0R030). It's been almost a year and no problem since.

SOURCE: the VCS and Abs Indicator

If the lights went back off it means that the systems were activated due to road conditions, did their job, and then returned to their normal standby mode. If the lights remain on you need to have the vehicle's OBD computer read for trouble codes and then determine if any repairs are necessary. You can have the codes read at your dealer, your qualified mechanic, or at many auto parts stores.

Highlander 2006 Hybrid: Check VSC, ABS, (!) lights on.

Note: I am the original poster

My mechanic (another one from the mechanic who installed it) checked the installation. He is a Toyota Lexus mechanic, he said it is correct. I pointed out to him that, the brake lights stay on after I turn off the car.

I pointed out to him the attached photo. I see that there are threads on the nut bolt, by making an adjustment, it can release the brake pedal more towards up. I wonder if this can help.

The car brake lights in the back stays on when turned off. The warning lights come on only when I start drive.
Somehow, the car computer thinks that, while brake pedal is still being depressed (due to whatever problem it is) the gas pedal is also pushed simultaneously so the warning lights are coming on, IMO.

My mechanic also checked the wiring that goes to the stop light switch. He didn't see anything he says.

Been trying so hard to make this go away.

What is the problem when braking characteristics appears in the dash board?

Brake light could be low fluid or E brake handle not fully released. Brake,ABS,and VSC light on, Most likely the ABS module or pump has died. ABS and VSC lights on, could be transmission problems. Best to have the codes read.

Brake pedal low, front brakes are new on 2000 rav 4 toyota

If you are used to having a pedal higher than it is now, it is possible you have air in the brake system. If the pedal level rises when you pump it, this possibility becomes more certain.

Have the brakes bled, as it is always a good idea to replace the brake fluid periodically. Brake fluid degrades over time as it gets dirty and absorbs water vapour.

If the car has ABS brakes, this may be a design feature you can't do much about. Ask a brake tech.

I have a toyota nze it has aproblem of showing hand brake light and abc.please help.

Hi there!

The brake light is always an indication of low fluid level or low pressure in the fluid system. The ABS light comes on when a problem detected with one of the 4 sensors or wires that connect the sensors to PCM in your vehicle. So what you can do is check the fluid level and about the ABS you will need to scan it to see whats the code that was stored. Good luck

Brake vsc off and abs lights are on

Krafty930 with brake, VSC off and ABS lights on. You share a common problem with many Toyota owners. My 2003 Sequioa has the same issue. There is no solution. Dealers will replace the air sensors and then the computer all for $2,500 - $3,500. This will not solve the issue. The internet has thousands of complaints re this problem, but Toyota has disowned the issue and declined resolution, even for vehicles under warranty. The lights drive me crazy and I still don't know if there is a functional problem, a wiring problem or a computer problem with the VSC system. To date, I have learned of no reports relating this problem to vehicular deaths, so I really am not holding my breath waiting for Toyota to provide a solution. Sorry that you share this problem, but perhaps my response will help to stop you from "spinning your wheels" too much trying to resolve this issue.
