first take cloth bag off, held on at bottom with bag clamp, then wash cloth bag in washing machine at 40, inner hose is held on by 2 cable ties top and bottom, your new hose should come with 2 new cable ties, ask kirby agent when ordering, them simply refit.
We banged on the black rubbery part that holds the hard plastic adapter in place until the old adapter was broken into pieces then removed the pieces. The new adapter just simply snapped into the rubbery black connector piece. I then used a screw driver to scrape the gasket out of the old adapter and put it into the new one.
Normally they come with a 1 year warranty, unless they talk you into buying an extended warranty for 2 to 3 years. If you did, then yes it would be. You may be able to get this hose if you check around for stores that carry this model, or try searching the Internet and order one. This is what I would do, Sincerely, Shastalaker7
I found a site that carrys them, not sure if they are out because just as I was about to order one I decided to try and fix mine since the crack was right up next to the handle. http://www.svcvacuum.com/bissell/steamer_hose.htm
All I did was unscrew the two screws where the button is for releasing the water on the hand piece. I thin squeezed the clamp together to remove the water hose. Once that was removed I cut the hose and then PRYED out the part of the hose in the hand piece. I then cut the hose down where the crack was. Feed the "water hose" back through the hole in the handle (I heated it with a lighter just a tiny bit to make it soft and worked it through the hole which I just enlarged a slight bit) and with pliers work it back on. Don't forget the clamp. Next just work the outter hose back into the handle but make sure to use a glue or silicone sealer or both.
Even if you get a new hose Im not sure it will come with the handle. To connect the hose to the Machine part just push in that little plastic "dot" and pull out the hose at the same time. Then remove the old hose by the directions above. There is no need to remover the inner clear hose from the machine part, only the handle
The hose where it hooks to the motor unit usually splits there, if this what you are talking about, then you can replace the hose asm. Part #
H-90001336 You can go to http://vacuumsuperstore.com/ and order it thru them, or call a local service shop.
The part number for the hose is 4370993, you can go to sears.com, put int he part number and order it. You will only get just the hose, you have to take the ends off of the old one and put them on the new hose.
