Check BIOS settings, have it set to use your AGP or PCI-e port for graphics.

Hi there,
1. Just clarifying things what does this mean ""When a separate card was tested"" does you HD6970 on crossfire?. or just a single card and the separate card means spare card. Am I right?

2. From your statement ""the fan began to rotate at an incredible speed"" does the 2x 8pin power connector plugged? reference images below.

6/8 Pin power connector

pcsyke_100.jpg

3. The main reason fans speed up and no display, you did not plugged the 2x 8 Pin power. if your Power Supply do not have such cables you better purchase one having 2-4 PCIE 6/8 Pin if you have plans on doing a crossfire setup.

Hopefully this information helps.
Just leave a message for clarification.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Boot into your bios when you are first turning on the computer(Press Del while the Press DEL to enter SETUP message displays on screen after powering on the computer.) and look and see if you have "only use on-board graphics" set. Sometimes you have to click the arrow and choose"use graphics card" instead of the system only using your on-board graphics.

Starting PC: No Beep, No LED on motherboard, all fans seem to have power. No videosignal at all. Videocard and cable OK.

This MAY be the power supply. Fans often run from different voltage than most of the processor.
The power on reset may not be releasing as one of MANY possible problems. Power supplies are less expensive to try tahn motherboards.

Ethernet LAN not detect

Hello download the lan driver from here:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/865PE-Neo2-P-Platinum-Edition.html#/?div=Driver&os=XP%2032

Try to renew the driver and install the new one.

And check your bios settings for the lan.

Good luck

No beep,No Display on my monitor, only CPU heatsink fan is moving

You motherboard has onboard video. It's possible it needs to be disabled and the option changed to use the pci or pci-express slot for the Ati card you installed. Since you have no post error beeps this is the best place to start. Also I had built a system not to long ago and had a similar problem. Resetting the cmos on the motherboard (usually a pin combo) solved the issue.

Start by hooking up your vga cable to the onboard video.

Hope this helps.

Pin assignments

Follow the manuals instructions, the cables should match or be similar to the manual. There's no problem with guessing in these situations if the cables and pins don't match go nuts you won't damage a thing.

Is MSI 865PE Neo2-V motherboard support graphic work?

Most of the applications that you have specified above use high amount of the memory. If you are using vista this makes it even worse. Get another 512MB RAM and install it in the next DIMM slot and it will be alright. 512MB Ram should cost you around 500-700Rs.
