Removing Mold From Vinyl
1
Mix 1 gallon of warm water with 1 or 2 tablespoons of dish detergent in a bucket.
2
Dip a soft-bristled brush into the bucket and scrub away any mold from the vinyl surface, rinsing the brush in the bucket as needed.
3
Wipe the vinyl surface with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue.
4
Dry the vinyl with a towel. If possible, move the vinyl item to a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent mold growth in the future.
I have the same problem with my stone corner soap dish. It used to drain ok but recently water just sits on the dish and mold grows. Unless we get a good solution, I plan to drill holes into the dish to let it drain.
The rubber molding probably still has a coating of mold release on it form when made. Try some plain alcohol to remove it, or some dish soap and water. It may be a silicon based mold release agent which is very stubborn to remove.
If you have the option of not using the shower for a while, I would put a dehumidifier in the shower to **** the mositure out from below. If cost is no object, you can go ahead and pull the base. The key to the caulk is to completely remove the old caulk, clean carefully and use a silicon based caulk. Be sure to let it dry properly (see caulk cure times on tube).

yes, you should seal all tile with a 3-5 year sealer. there are many brands to choose from. excess grout should be removed with a sponge and water before it dries. clean food splatters with any safe kitchen cleaner.
contact Daltile to see if they have a replacement. If they do you will have to have contractor purchase for you as Daltile does not sell to general public
