Bad ignition switch, or starter motor or solenoid.

No clicking noise points to ignition switch isn't getting the juice to the solenoid (which is the thing that makes the clicking and allows the starter motor to engage the flywheel).

Jiggle around the key in the ignition and pull on the wiring harness a little. If you get it to start then you know the problem is in the switch or the wiring to the starter solenoid

Clicking key turn

The first thing I would do is take both the leads off the battery and brush the insides of the connectors with a steel brush until they are bright and shiny. These brushes are available at good supply houses. Then do the same to the terminals. Then I would place an anti corrosion felt washer on each terminal and reconnect the leads correctly and try again.
if the battery is good, the vehicle will start. If the battery is bad, the lights will dim or go out. Then you buy a new battery. You will need to clean the connections in either case.

Lights and dash work fine but car will not start not even a clicking

Did you check the battery. If the battery is weak then it will do that even tho the lights are coming on. use a multimeter and check the volts on it. If the battery is good then it could be the starter bad.

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

The battery/ brake light was caused by the alternator. so make sure the battery is good and good connections. turn the headlights on and be sure they are bright.

2004 Dodge Caravan won't start...just a clicking noise...

Check the battery first. Just because the lights are on doesn't mean it has enough power to start the van. If you or the van has a volt meter, the battery should read at least 13-14 volts to be good. If the battery is good then the alternator is good and we move on to the starter solenoid. I'm sure it's one of these. Do the lights go off or very dim when you turn the key? If so then battery.
