After repeated trips to the hardware store and more calls to Sanyo and conversations with supervisors...depending on the year of the TV....2011 requires M5x16. The next year model requires the same size that bolt to the back of the TV. I had to elevate my request for the size of the base screw of the 2011 model all the way to engineering before I got the answer. They changed the configuration in the 2012 and later models.
