If it has micro usb hook it up to your computer and make sure it has recognized it, it should be in "My computer" select picture with left click of mouse, drop down box click send to, and your phone should be at the bottom. This is PC with mouse right go click options left click.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I transferred the photos from the camera to the computer, but the video did not transfer. How so I transfer the video to my computer? I don't t hink you should have to pay for an answer to a problem with...

I've seen this problem when using a different brand of software than the camera is. For example, I used my Canon software to fetch photos and videos from a Samsung... the photos transferred, but the videos didn't. I nearly deleted them, too...

I think the problem is that the location and naming of photos is pretty standard, but different manfuacturers use different video formats and folder names so 'foreign' software doesn't know where to look.

Your solution is probably to use the software that came with the camera itself. If you're already doing that then I don't know what the problem is, but you should just browse to the location of the videos on the camera (card) and copy them to your computer yourself.

P.S. when you plug in the card, you'll probably get a selection of different programs to use on the 'new drive' that appears; take care to choose the right one. Microsoft tend to put their own camera and scanner wizard first because they're just Microsoft, but this is highly unlikely to be the right thing to use.

I need to take the photos off my camera memory card onto pc, sony cybershot camera

Just hook the camera up with the supplied cable to any xp, vista, or 7 computer and the drivers should already be on the computer to transfer photos over to the hard disk drive of the laptop or desktop in question.

Some pictures already there

Try using a separate card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop. Then you can carefully rename the ones that the computer thinks are duplicates and then move them to their final destination. Your camera is obviously creating new folders but not continuing the sequence of numbers on the photos. You might want to e-mail one of Kodak's tech people with your problem to see if they've come up with a work-around.
