Next to the battery & mount onto the upper frame at the front of the car an air filter housing with 2 self tapping bolts. Remove these and disconnect serveral hoses and lift back, Below this is the air filter housing itself. clips are on the side slip off, and replace filter.

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

SOURCE: 2000 plymouth grand voyager 3.3 V6, loud noise in serpentine belt area

remove belt and check the pulleys. this belt routing is odd and its very tight. i have seen many failed tensoner pulleys on these. it should spin smoothly and quiet. and grinding or bumpyness in it and i would replace it. check all pulleys while your there. they are not expensive.

good luck,
Michael

I have a 1997 plymouth grand voyager. When I turn on my air conditioner, I do not receive any cold air only hot air.I used to receive cold out a couple of months ago but even then it would only blow c

The likely cause is a bad compressor clutch, but there are other possible causes. The first thing to do is to observe the compressor with the engine running. The clutch is inside the pulley. When the a/c is off, the pulley turns on thr belt, but the clutch does not turn. When the a/c is turned on, the clutch should lock on the pulley and turn with it. Run this test and post the result here.

your vehicle has two heater cores in it one front and one rear, there will be two heater hoses running back the van under the passenger side of van, after van is run and engine is at operating temp, find the hoses and see if they are both hot or if one is hot and one is not.those hoses are the temperature that will come out your rear heater.sometimes people get a leak in the rear and just cut and plug those hoses, and they do the same with the two metal lines that have freon in for the rear A/C.
