BATTERY IS WEAK FROM SITTING,JUMP IT AN TAKE IT FOR A DRIVE TO CHARGE BATTERY BACK UP,MY TOYOTA'S BATTERY USED TO GET WEEK WHEN I LET IT SIT FOR 2 WEEKS.i F YOU LET IT SIT .START IT EVERY 3 DAYS TO KEEP BATTERY CHARGED.
try starting the car and while running disconnect the negative battery cable,if the car still runs turn on the head lights,if the car dies the alternator is weak. I think its weak and can charge the battery as long as the lights are off,but cant keep up when theyare on. so if drive most of the time in the day time you are ok as long as you dont have to start the car too many times. when you drive with the lights on and the engine slows to an idle like when you park the car dies. make sense?
If in fact you own a 2011 Tucson, it's under warranty. You're describing a malfunctioning brake/stop lamp switch relating to the traction control light and getting into park. The other problem needs to be diagnosed by a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician (probably under warranty). Phone your nearest Hyudai Service Department & take it in for warranty repair (or have it towed in using your Hyundai Roadside Assistance Service (no cost to you).
I would start by making sure the battery is good and nithing was left on and drained the battery, check and see if the headlight come on and are bright, if the lights are dim or dont turn on then the battery is low, also check the connections at the battery, make sure they are clean and tight. you can try to jump start it if battery is low. if the battery is good then you may have a bad starter or a problem with the antitheft system, again start with the battery, make sure inside ;ight are working and check the headlights. good day.
You can find a fuse box diagram in the owner's manual that will tell you exactly which fuse is for what. This would be a good place to start as fuses are cheap and easy to replace.
