SOURCE: I have an Optimus H-5210 Infra-Red Heater and it's

god please be carfull thousands of home fires start like this!!!!!!!
My guess is that a high temp cutout has opened. most likly it is not replacable.
Google search your model number / owners manual to see if there is resettable overtemp.
I was unable to locate but you may have more luck.

Remember infra-red heat warms items and objects in the room by absorbtion of infra-red waves this heater should not be near any flameable items! its designed to sit like 6 feet away from any thing and items in the room absorb heat energy then give it up to there surrounings.
please be carefull....

The electric pilot will not work they told me to change the battery which is a AAA and it still not work it will not make the clicking sound

First think to check: is battery inserted correctly. Peizo igniter is polarity specific. Battery goes in "nipple" end (+) first. Next, check to see that wiring of igniter to pilot is connected on both ends. If still no spark, probably dead peizo device. Use a candle lighter to ignite pilot.

Optimus H-4338 The warning light came on and now the heater will

there's no reset, but unscrew the 3 screws in the back. Cut out white sleeve that covers the red & white wires. Take the fuse out from beginning to end. Attach the white & red wires directly. The fuse is not needed. Wrap w/ electrical tape. You, me and everyone that has bought this heater had the same problem. I called customer support. This is what they told me.

Alarm light came on. no heat. still occilates

I have only had mine for 3 weeks when it did the same thing, I looked up and called Optimus Enterprizes @ 714 956-1300 they told me they warrenty it for 3 years. Send it back and they will repair or replace it. I am near them so I took it to their office @ 2201 E. Winston Rd. Anaheim, Calif. 92806. When I walked into the office the girl took my heater into the back and came out with a new one. No questions asked. I did not even have to show my Ebay paper work.
SO my solution is send it back.
Good luck

Outdoor patio heater won't stay lit

I'm told by Charmglow that the problem is the Thermocouple. iHowever,it took me several calls to get someone to admit this. They are sending a new thermocoupler. My heater is less than a year old and under warranty--but it's a shame things like this happen.

Originally I was told it could'nt be the thermocoupler as they normally last at least 5 years.

Try it--as it may solve your problem as well.

Vanguard heater

Usually the pilot goes out because of a faulty flame sensor or wire connection.
