Is leak sealer in R-134a safe for ford AC systems"

NO NO NO NO NO NO

--- No--- LEAK SEALER goes into-- ANYTHING-- EVER--

Leak sealer RUINS things & you CAN NOT GET IT OUT

It will clog the A/C orifice, expansion valves, the coils, gum up the
compressor

In the cooling system it will ruin all of it,thermostat, heater core,
radiator

I would say look at & read but NEVER buy ANY Doctor Do
Goods off an auto parts store shelf ever

The ONLY thing you buy in there is Permatex Anti-Seize,Thread-Locker & Gasket Sealer & brake tubing

I don't buy parts there anymore

If you have ANY Vehicle problems

You find them & do only the proper repairs

When you spend 40 to 60,000 dollars, you do not spend
$8.00 on a quick fix, that is just a cash cow for the marketing
& supply chain & useless for your vehicles

That would probably wipe out your Drier and the soap may corrode the moving parts in the compressor.

There is a testing kit at Autozone and Advance autoparts which uses a dedicated can of dye marker. But this kit is an UV kit which has a UV source penlight, yellow plastic goggles, and a small can good for 4 to 5 tests.

When you add the UV marker, as with any others, make sure your compressor clutch is working and run the engine to circulate the stuff.

When you put on the yellow glasses, and use the UV pen, Stevie Wonder could see the leak. Now after all of this, if no underhood leak can be found, use the UV tester at the A/C drain from the Firewall. It is possible the leak is inside the cabin and the water from the ductwork drain will let the UV marker escape.

I would like to know if you bought this product and if you found the leak. Remember too, that the sniffer detector still works and may be the final way to fix you up.

A/C compressor front seal leaks 134a. Can the can of 134a with leak sealer really seal the leak?

No, the stop leak is designed to seal a leaky O-Ring. I have never seen anything fix a compressor seal other than replacement.

MY AC ON 2003 FORD MUSTANG BLOWS HOT AIR AND DONOT HAVE OWNER MANUEL TO SEE IF FUSE BLOWN

The most common cause for an AC blowing hot air is the system is low on refrigerant. A small leak will eventually lose refrigerant until the compressor eventually will shut down. Most compressors require a minimum of 20psi to engage and chill the air. Most certified service stations can diagnose and recharge most systems for $100-150 depending on where the leak is. There are do it yourself kits available at most auto parts stores that come complete with leak detector (R-134A with dye to show where leaks are) compressor oil, and a recharge hose.

You can buy a DIY leak sealer/AC recharger system at a parts store or department store. They have specific directions on use in the kit and work well. The kits are about 25.00

The ac only blows warm air, have recharged it with freon but it only cools minutes before blowing warm again, could find no leaks

There are special cans of R-134A with dye in them for detecting leaks. Most leaks occur around the fittings near the compressor. Recharge the system with the leak detector can or R-134A. There are also cans of R-134A with an additive to stop leaks. I would use these products to either detect your leak or to stop it. Best of luck.

A/c does not get cold what type freon

134a dont put any with stop leak or sealer in your system... if it does not get cold you need to find the leak if its empty. so a must for checking the pressure on high and low side with manual gauges.... and compare ambient room temp with performance to see what the system is doing... if you put sealer in it later on ,,, alot of shops wont hook there recycler recover machines to it(your car)

Bmw325I started it up and thick smoke started coming through vents into cab

Was the AC on when you started the car? And was there a hissing sound when it happend? If so you were leaking the AC systems R-134a refrigerant into the car from the evaporator.

How do I recharge the AC on 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette?

You need to check for leaks first. WalMart sells a kit to recharge your a/c system with R-134a and a stop leak sealer. Make sure your core valve is tight. You'll need a longer valve tool than what you use for your tires. Good luck
