Could be the pawl catch on the crank shaft is not working properly, if this is an easy start model, there are two springs and two pulleys to inspect. usually second spring is the problem.

The pull cord on my Husqvarna trimmer just spins

in the system there is a small lever that is pushed out to engage the crank pulley internally so that it spins the crank
this small lever breaks off and needs replacing
they are available from husqvana spares , and mower shops a sit is a generic piece common with all pull start trimmer engines engines
full the start assembly of the trimmer engine and take it in as a sample

130BT Blower can't pull start cord.

Can be a couple issues. The obvious is seized. The other is a broken jammed connecting rod. I would put some oil down the plug hole and let it sit overnight. Then after a day or so...try again with the wratchet. In both directions, forward then backward just to try and free it.

I have having problem with my Hysqvaran 125L with the pull cord. When i pulls cord, it not catching the trans and it sound like the spring is not catching?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

It sounds like the starter cup has failed / broken. See this link: (Page 3 item 14.)
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HIPL/HIPL2008/HIPL2008_5450143-15.pdf

However... the pawls on the starter pulley (item 28 above) may have broken.

There is a whole kit for repairing the starter recoil: PN 545180844
That can be found here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HUSQVARNA-RECOIL-STARTER-KIT-124L-125L-128L-545180844-/150485511147

Your need to remove the starter recoil assy and check for damage. It will be obvious. Just remove the mounting screws and lift it off. It is not difficult. Use the first link page 3 to identify the parts you may need once you do the visual inspection with the recoil removed.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

The pull cord on the mower is frozen after several times of pulling it.

The drive shaft might need to be lubricated. If the shaft won't turn, you won't be able to pull the cord.

Try turning the mower on its side (making sure all of the caps are on so you don't spill gas or oil) and lubricating the drive shaft with WD-40 or 3-in-1 (or another similar lubricating oil). Coat the shaft where it disappears into the housing of the mower, and turn the blade by hand -- carefully, so you don't cut yourself -- to work the oil in. After turning the blade a few times, add some more oil to the shaft and turn it more. It should become easier to turn. Then turn the mower back onto its wheels and try the pull cord... it should pull easily now.

Good luck!

Pulley cord wont go down unable to start on gas trimmer

Your cord wont recoil?

You should remove the recoil cover and see if you can rewind the rope manually.

It isnt too hard and will let you know immediately if you need to replace the recoil.

Just the recoil unit by loosening the three or four bolts and lift it off the trimmer. Turn it over and look at the recoil spool. There should be a notch in it. This is were you catch a bit of the starter rope and start turning it in the direction of normal rotation. Normal rotation will put tension on the recoil spring.
When you put 4-6 turns into it just let it recoil and see if it pulls all the rope back in. That's it. If the cord didnt recoil something inside the recoil has broken and you need to get the unit serviced or replaced. Most of the time the cost of repairing something like this is prohibitive. Its a better idea to just replace the whole unit.

Good luck and be careful!

Pull cord not catching

If you remove the cover, there is a metal arm that pops out when you pull. The arm is probably rust or just stuck. Spray it with lube and work it around so it loosens up.

Pull start cord sticks, catches on something internally and I can't start the mower...brand new...

Make sure you hold the throttle bar firmly against the handle. If that doesn't work the cable from the throttle to the engine may need adjusting. The only other cause would be a damaged crank shaft.
