Depends on the operating system. There are password remover and cracker programs for Windows that work on most configurations. We use a unix based one you boot from and it works well. Another method is to try to boot from safe mode and log in as administrator...provided the admin account is enabled, which it is generally not in Vista and above...though it is in XP Home but not in XP Pro.

This wont be easy. But you will need to download winternals 2005. A.k.a ERD Commander. You need to download this program. vuse.com and than go to http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3365621/ERD.Commander.2005 and burn to cd-r. put the disk in restart the computer. boot into it. go to start, in the program, look for something to do with password changer. And you can change it from there.
According to me it is not possible to reset administrator password by using user account. So you should reset administrator password either by using manual methods or by using automated software (such as stellar phoenix password recovery software).
