On my GE E850 Camera the view screen just turned black. Still takes pictures but I cannot see them on the screen

I have a GE E850 camera and long ago it stopped working i dropped it and the screen was cracked at the top but still worked then all of a suden it didnt turn on at all what can i do ?

At this point, it's likely that a repair would cost considerably more than a new camera.

Time for a new camera perhaps ? Sreen is faulty, most likely and fixing may be too expensive.

I can take pictures with my camera, but LCD screen is black, and I can not view my pictures either

Has the camera been dropped or gotten wet? If not screen is shot and needs a new one.

Ge E850 will not take picture if flash is on. The flash icon will just blink. Will take picture if turn off flash.

If the flash cannot get a full charge, it will blink and prevent a picture from being taken. check your batteries.

I cannot get my E850 to download pictures. Do not have CD. Where can I get software

There are download drivers available for this camera. Log onto www.opendrivers.com/driver/.../ge-ditigal-camera-e850-firmware-v1.04-free -download.html -. Try it. Make a CD backup once its downloaded. Also be sure you have the right USB cable between camera and computer. Otherwise, take out the SDS storage card and plug that into a $19 usb card reader and you don't have to worry about slow downloads. Some photo editing programs such as PhotoShop and even some freeware may red directly from the camera without any download software.

My computer does not acknowledge GE E850 digital camera, computer tells me that it is an unkown device and that it does not acknowledge in the USB port.

Use a separate card reader to download your pictures.

Most likely you cannot. I recommend calling support. If you have warrenty on the product, they may give you a new screen, but since it's accidental damage, they may not.

WHEN I TURN MY SONY DSC-W200 CAMERA ON THE LCD SCREEN GOES TO BLACK, I CAN TAKE AND VIEW MY PICTURES. EVERY OTHER FEATURE WORKS WELL.

Image not visible on monitor screen

My viewing screen is black. I had successfully taken a picture, viewed it, and turned the camera off. When I turned it back on about 30 seconds later, the viewing sceen was black. I can 'take' a picure, but it comes out black. Help!

Hi I am vortash .. it sounds like the backlight on your screen has gone or the power supply to it , if your camera has an av output try it and see if you are getting a picture from it that way .
If not it may be a video output fault even though your still getting pictures ,as that is a different system . You will need to check the backlight and see if it is geting power , if your not adept at this type of thing i would suggest a repair shop . You may end up doing more damage than good if you don't know what your doing .. regards Vortash
