Why fire fox can't find server

First of all, have you tried to connect to the Internet using Internet Explorer? If you can, then it is most likely that one of Firefox's file has become corrupt. In order to do this properly (best - and presuming you can get online), download Revo Uninstaller Free. Once you have downloaded it and installed it, start it up. You will get a display of many of the programs that you have on your computer. There will also be some that will appear to be duplicates. They start with the name, Microsoft Visual C++ - DO NOT UNINSTALL ANY OF THESE. Look for Firefox and click on it's icon once. Now look at the top row and find Uninstall (not Uninstaller), it should be the 6th icon from the left. Click on it and you will get a dialogue box asking if you really want to uninstall Firefox. Click on Yes and another dialogue box will open. This one asks which "Mode" you want to use. Click on the radio button/dot on the bottom that says Advanced. This will get rid of ALL traces of Firefox. There will be some further action you may have to take when Revo asks if you want to uninstall other values/files. With the ones on the first list, click ONLY on the boxes next to an name that stands out in BOLD letters. NO DOING THIS COULD POSSIBLY RENDER YOUR COMPUTER NON-FUNCTIONAL!
Follow the prompts and you will get rid of Firefox traces and be able to install a new version with no corrupt files.

Get rid of ask search

You haven't specified the browser you are using. (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)

Normally you have to go into settings and you can edit the default homepage. (Sometimes under 'Start-Up' settings)

Thanks to ask and fixya, firefox no longer works. How do I get rid of them?

I am not sure what you mean by Fixya making Firefox no longer work. Fixya does not install anything on your computer or in your web browser.

If you have installed the Ask toolbar or maybe some other extensions recently, you could try uninstalling and see if that solves the issue. You could also try reinstalling Firefox altogether.

If you can reply with a comment below with additional details I will be more than happy to help you troubleshoot further, but I am positive Fixya did not cause Firefox to no longer work.

Hope that helps!

I want to get rid of INBOX as my browser

Hi.
To change the homepage on firefox, first, go to whatever webpage you want as your new homepage.
Next, click and hold on the webpage logo that is on the address bar on your browser, and drag it to on top of the house logo for home.
Firefox will ask you if you wish to change homepages to the new one, tell it yes.

That should take care of your problem.

I hope this helps you out today, and good luck !
