There is no virus for a mobo BIOS in the past 10 years. There is no software that can check a GPU BIOS for a virus.
If you really think you need it the only place you get it is by contacting the MFG of the card and ask them.

Now, you have TWO video-cards in your computer.
Either remove the "old" video-card,
or enter BIOS SETUP, and configure your computer to indicate which is the "primary" and which is the "secondary" video-adapter.

have you checked your bios settings? check there if you can disable your internall VGA card and only use your NVIDIA GeForce.
When you start your computer start BIOS to press DEL or F2 or F10 or F12, depends on your computer model and manufacture.

Make sure you uninstalled all previous drivers first. Just to let you know the 8400 gs isnt a gaming graphics card but it is a step up from the absolutely terrible 7200 gs

You can always download the latest drivers from Nvidia at www.nvidia.com. Click the "download drivers" tab at the top of the page and fill in the information about your card. This way you'll have the newest software.
