Austin Parker... hello,
When car electronics DECDE to act strangely... it is ALWAYS a good time to check for BATTERY TERMINAL corrosion...
(If you are not comfortable playing with highly corrosive materials...
IT'S SERVICE STATION TIME.
So...
You have removed the key... The car is fully in PARK...
BRAKES applied... Lights all turned off... (no lights on dash?).
Repeat your last exit cycle...
Get back in start the car... Make sure everything functions as normal Set your brake... Park, off the lights (everything)...
Put it in gear...
Still beeping... (
write down your radio settings)
Time to do a
Bill Gates... (hard power cycle)
Disconnect your negative battery lead
and take a 10 minute break...
Reconnect battery... start car & park it again... OK?
ELSE...
If it resumes beeping it will be time to beg, borrow or buy that OBD Reader you always wanted any-way!
HOPE this helps
